We made it to Derby One day ahead of time, due to having to drive further in the day previously than we would of liked. This meant that we had an extra night here in Derby, which gave us a grand total of 2 nights!! 

 

We arrived on Tuesday night at 6pm. Set up camp, dinner and bed. It worked out well, as we had a chill out day on Wednesday and did some sight seeing.

 

First off, we went for a walk around town and to the visitor centre and shops. Then we had some yummy Ham and salad fresh buns for lunch back at camp.

 

In the afternoon we drove along the Derby Jetty and then had a walk along it. We had missed seeing the tide come in, but they are not very high atm any way.

 

We stopped past and had a look at the Prison Boad Tree and read a bit about it. The kids were fasinated! 

 

Then we did our last food shop top up and treated ourselves to an ice cream. The girls made two new friends when a 7 yr old girl and her 4 yr old sister pulled up to set up camp next door. 

 

The day ended with tasting Crocodile for dinner, with chicken wingettes and salad, hair washed and bed.

 

I've been trying to upload photos and info to this Blogg for a while and am having alot of trouble with hotspotting the internet.

 

There wont be anything else until we are in Kununurra (Saturday 26th July)....... (Hopefully!)

If we keep having trouble uploading and editing, you will all just have to wait until the holiday is over and we are home to read more.
